Dee lives with her husband, son,
and Pembroke Welsh Corgi in the mountains of western North Carolina. Since 1981 she has been designing and making jewelry. She
graduated from Stewart's International School for Jewelers and completed
additional coursework at the Gemological Institute of America. Dee designs her
original forms in wax from which a mold is made to reproduce the design in
sterling silver or gold. This process, known as lost wax casting, provides an
accurate replica of the original wax. Dee's designs range from realistically
detailed dogs to wonderfully whimsical fairies and nursery rhyme characters, all
of which are copyrighted. These are considered miniature sculptures by most of
her collectors, prized for the fact that they are Dee's unique creations.
Dee still sells her work directly through art and craft fairs in the Eastern
US. Her show schedule is available on this web site. And now, the web site
provides a means to reach a wider audience looking for specific jewelry designs.
Only a handful of figurative jewelry lines made in the USA today can compare
to the quality and range of Dee's jewelry designs. Dee keeps her production small and
hands-on to maintain the high standard of craftsmanship and uniqueness she
strives for. To read a few customer comments, click here:
