1 How do I place an order?

Click here for Order Information or click on the "Order Information" link in the left navigation bar on every page.

2 When listing prices you list an item as "Heart pendant with chain" and then "Heart pendant/charm."  Is the pendant/charm just the pendant without a chain, or is it sized for a bracelet?

The "charm" is a "pendant" without a chain, so they are the same thing/same size. There is no difference between the charm option and the pendant by itself. Let me explain. On my web site, a design may be shown photographed as a charm (with a split jump ring attached), or as a pendant on a chain, as earrings, or even as a pin. The important thing to know is that I use the same cast piece whether I attach it to a chain, or as a charm by itself, or attached to ear wires as earrings, etc. So, where you see the words "pendant" or "charm", please know that these words represent the same item. Some customers call it a charm when it's going on a bracelet, and some call it a pendant when it's destined for a chain. If you ordered one heart "charm" and one heart "pendant" (without a chain), you would receive two identical hearts.

3 How do I clean my sterling jewelry?

Because I “antique” almost all of my sterling work, you won’t notice the build up of a surface patina as quickly as you would on sterling silverware, for example. However, over time, you should take a minute to buff the high surfaces of the jewelry with a polishing cloth. I sell a cloth for $5 that I highly recommend. It does not damage stones and is easy to use. Do not dip my jewelry work in any kind of liquid solution to clean it. Many of these liquid cleaners will strip the antiquing off of the sterling and also damage pearls, turquoise, and some other fragile gemstones.

4 Do you have chain lengths or styles other than those you list with each item?

Yes, while I usually only list options for 18” and 24”, you can also order 16”, 20”, 30” and 36” sterling Figaro chains.  This is the style chain pictured on the Star Fairy.  The specialty sterling bead chain pictured on the Ethereal Dragonfly, for example, is only available in 16”, 18”, and 20” lengths. See my Chains page.

5 Do you know why I can’t get the pictures to show up on your web site?

I have not been able to photograph all of my designs yet. Only the Items that are highlighted (have a web link) will open a picture.

6 Do you wholesale?

Yes, please send an email or fax with your Name, Business name, Physical address of business, Phone number, and Tax Number. I will then contact you with wholesale information.

7 What is Sterling Silver & how is it marked on jewelry?

First, let me say that all of the work shown on my website is made of sterling silver. Sterling Silver is made of an alloy of fine silver and (usually) copper. There is a new generation of sterling silver that offers a different alloy combination, but I still use the traditional alloy of fine silver and copper. When jewelry is made from at least 925 parts out of 1000 of fine silver, it is Sterling Silver. You will sometimes see sterling silver jewelry stamped with the numbers 925. This again is referring to the piece of jewelry containing at least 925/1000 parts of fine silver. I prefer to stamp my work with "925" because it takes up less space than "Sterling Silver."  Very occasionally when there is detailed carving all around a design, I may not stamp the piece to preserve the integrity of the detail.

Items made from less than 925/1000 but more than 900/1000 of fine silver, is called coin silver.

If the item is less than 900/1000 fine silver it cannot be represented as silver in the United States.

8 Do you gift wrap?

Each order includes a card describing my work and a cotton padded jewelry box.  For a charge of $3.50, I enclose the box inside a custom fit white organza draw-string bag as gift wrapping.  It is very attractive.  If you want a printed note enclosed with the package, just let me know. This can be mailed directly to the gift recipient if desired.

9 What are the birthstones for different months?

Here's a list of Birthstones/flowers and a list of Anniversary Gemstones.  I offer an option to include an accent stone above any pendant in order to customize a selection. To see how a gemstone is added above the pendant click here. To see how two accent gemstones can be added above the pendant, click to see an example of amethyst and pearl.  The single gemstone or pearl accent option begins at only $7.00, depending on the choice.

10 Do you make gold?

At the present time, given the disheartening dramatic increase in the cost of gold, I have stopped working in gold except for the Bead Teapots.
