Directions: Take I-40 to exit 64 (Black Mountain). Turn north onto Hwy. 9/Broadway St. Then left onto Sutton Ave. Turn right onto Cherry Street. Art From The Heart is one half block on the left. Called "The Front Porch of Western North Carolina," the town of Black Mountain is nestled into one of the most scenic mountain ranges east of the Rockies, the Black Mountains. Click here to see my Black Mountain Commemorative Jewelry Design. Located about ten minutes east of Asheville, NC, with immediate access to I-40, Black Mountain boasts a notable History Museum , a year round music house for live performances, an Arts Center, a preserved old fashioned downtown filled with interesting buildings and eclectic specialty stores including my Gallery, an extraordinary choice of excellent restaurants and cafes for a small town, walking trails to suit every level, the longest par 6 hole in the country, and a handful of historic B&Bs. Visitors often tell me that there is something that resonates spiritually for them in Black Mountain. Perhaps that is why the highest concentration of religious conference centers in the US and associated summer camps surround Black Mountain. Residents of note include the beloved Rev. Billy Graham. The first Tiger Woods US Golf Course is being constructed a short drive from Black Mountain and, of course, the Biltmore House is an easy 20 minute drive.
