Created from the top of an antique teaspoon from my own
collection, this one features a highly detailed cosmos, the
October flower of the month.
Having turned it into an elegant Victorian-style lavaliere, it makes a
dramatic necklace or earrings. It’s a very different look from typical spoon
jewelry. The lavaliere features your choice of a gemstone drop, shown here
with a natural freshwater pearl. Other gemstone choices to choose from
include Amethyst, Aquamarine (price upgrade applies), Citrine, Clear
Crystal, Crysophase (price upgrade applies), Garnet, Green Tourmaline, Iolite, Moonstone, Freshwater
Pearl, Peridot, Pink Tourmaline (price upgrade applies), Prehnite,
Rose Quartz, or Smoky Quartz. See gemstone page for color reference. Made of
sterling silver, I suggest surface polishing with a cloth to allow the
recessed areas to darken over time. I use the same part to create the
necklace, pendant, and matching earrings.
The cosmos piece measures approximately 1.75 inches long, not including
the gemstone or pearl drop.
Also, matching gemstone earrings can be made to complement your choice of
gemstones; please contact me for pricing information for those earrings.
