Near my childhood home in Eastern Tennessee was
an enchanting place where weeping willows grew. It was located a
few hundred feet, and 100 years distant in time, from the Civil
War slaughter on Billy Goat Hill. I grew up thinking that those
huge, drooping willows were there, they saw, and experienced the
agony.
Now, an apartment complex fills the spot. In memory of
those lost Willows and men, I added this design to my work. It
is lovingly detailed front and back, top to bottom. Light in the
ear and suitably weighted as a necklace.
The Weeping Willow is 1 inch high.
